All state schools in Queensland have a catchment area where they will draw the majority of their students from. Some schools are nearing capacity so they have an enrolment management plan to ensure that students who live in their catchment area are able to enrol in their school.
Townsville Central does not have an enrolment management plan therefore we welcome and accept enrolments from students who live anywhere in Townsville.
Many families choose our school because of it's proximity to the CBD or their work location. Our after school care program and vacation care programs are often a factor in choosing our school.
School catchment areas can be found on the Department of Education and Training's Edmap site.
On the Edmap site, schools with enrolment management plans in place are indicated in red. Townsville Central does not have an enrolment management plan, however the schools surrounding us do.
